First time using NTC full package with frame and rails on Statfjord A for cutting 9 ⅝” casing.

Challenge

The customer wanted to compare breaking out using IRN and Nor Oil Tools cutter. This was done to get an understanding of what potential speed to achieve.

Solution

As a solution we used our remote operated cutter and cut the string without entering the Redzone

Result

Operations executed as per plan. 20 joints was broken by IRN. 15 joints was cut using NTC, pulling speed 15+ joints an hour.
