Significant improvement on Vigdis well E-4

During the P&A phase at Vigdis B-4, 395mtr of 9 5/8” casing had to be removed by the use of Archer Oiltools CCR system (Casing, cleaning & recovery). Casing is first perforated, then settled barite behind casing is removed before casing is pulled to surface. To efficiently POOH and L/D the perforated 9 5/8” casing, the Nor Tubular Cutter (NTC) was used to cut casing joints at surface. Nor Tubular Cutter represented significant improvements.

We see double the pulling speed compared to a similar job done on Vigdis well B-4 in January 2020 saving more then 4 hours, also with significant value in reducing red zone activity.
