Gullfaks C. Dual5" & 7" liners cuton surface.

Challenge

On a Gullfaks well NorOiltools was asked to come up with a solution to a challenging P&A operation, which included cutting dual 5" & 7" liners

Solution

Test cutting 7"&5" liners with cement inside. The cement should simulate barite. The cut was made through a 5" coupling. The result was a success.

Result

Minimal rig up/down both in terms of time and equipment. All tubulars cut remotely operated in less then 1 minute per cut. Great time and cost savings.
